We spent two nights here following our flight. The rooms are spacious, and we had a door that opened directly into the garden. Traveling with our two young kids, they had a great time playing with the owner's daughter and the dog in the grounds.

A fantastic spot to unwind. The rooms are wonderful, and the service is top-notch. The family that owns the property is incredibly welcoming and ensures you enjoy your stay. The cook is excellent, creating tasty meals tailored to your preferences.

This lovely spot is managed by a family fluent in both German and English. With only 8 rooms, it feels intimate and cozy. The accommodations were excellent, and the bathroom was a highlight, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower. Located right on the beach, the property boasts a spacious garden with a bar tucked in the corner. We could order all our meals, and the hamburger we had was the best we've ever tasted.

Raja Beach Hotel is a lovely hotel situated right on the beach in Balapitiya. We had a great time relaxing in the beautiful garden beneath the coconut palms. The Kirchner family, who own the hotel and are German, were incredibly friendly and helpful. All the rooms are spacious and well-kept.

As soon as you walk through the gates, you can sense the laid-back atmosphere created by the gardens and the welcoming family that resides here. Steffen and his wife Lalani are genuinely nice and helpful people, and their bright young daughter, Jessica, adds to the charm.

What a wonderful experience! I stayed for a week, and the rooms were spacious, stunning, and spotless. This hotel boasts a lovely garden that leads directly to the incredible beach, creating a peaceful and serene environment. Steffen, the owner, along with his wife, are exceptional hosts. They go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The manager, Parle, was also fantastic—helpful with a great sense of humor. Additionally, the hotel features a restaurant and bar with prices that are very reasonable compared to nearby options. My partner and I sampled several dishes from the menu, all of which were home-cooked and fantastic. The spicy cuttlefish curry stood out as particularly remarkable. I will definitely return to Raja Beach on my future visits to Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic week at Raja Beach Hotel. Lalani, Steffen, and their family were incredibly welcoming and supportive with everything we needed, making us feel like part of their family. Every day, Lalani prepared delicious meals that were delightful.

We spent one night at this lovely, peaceful spot. The location is fantastic, right next to a beautiful beach with lots of activities and attractions close by. The natural pool just 500 meters down the beach is particularly great for families with young kids. Stephen and his wife were incredibly hospitable, serving us a delightful breakfast and assisting us when we departed from Balapitiya. I would highly recommend this place - it offers excellent value for your money! The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars is that the check-in process could have been smoother; they didn’t wait for us to get our bags to our room and settle the driver before proceeding with the check-in.

For those seeking a tranquil, family-oriented environment, Raja Beach Hotel is an excellent choice. The lovely Lalani and her husband Steffen treat you like family, making everything feel effortless. Lalani delighted us with her fantastic cooking and her vibrant energy and humor were truly uplifting. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the beautiful garden adjacent to an almost deserted beach is a lovely bonus. This is not the place for those wanting the hustle and bustle of city life; here, you will experience serenity and relaxation. It's a fantastic spot! If the opportunity arises, we will definitely return!
