Unprofessional Management Experience

The manager at this location, Rathnayake, is extremely unprofessional, rude, and lacks courtesy. There is a respectful way to communicate with people, especially when addressing a lady, and he is quite disrespectful and unpleasant. It's important for your staff to be trained to handle issues more effectively and kindly, especially those who hold managerial positions. They should set a positive example rather than behaving in such an appalling manner.

Pricing Confusion at Pramadasas

For over ten years, we've been buying jewelry and stones from this shop, but I was really disappointed with our recent experience. We brought a family friend from abroad to Pramadasas in Colpetty, and she showed interest in a specific stone. While browsing, we were eager to get that stone. One employee initially quoted us a price of 800,000 but then offered a decent discount, likely because of our long-standing loyalty. However, when we returned after looking around, another staff member quoted us the same stone for just 220,000. That’s ridiculous. It was clear there was a lack of communication between the two salespeople regarding their pricing, which made me look bad in front of my friend due to the outrageous markup. I felt embarrassed and decided to leave, opting to find another store for stones instead. How embarrassing! Your pricing is your own, but I can't even begin to understand your markup strategy honestly.

Great experience buying jewelry in Sri Lanka

Since arriving in Sri Lanka, I had wanted to purchase some blue sapphire jewelry, which the country is known for, so I decided to check out this shop. They provide a variety of metals and designs for the same type of stone. When I shared my budget and what I was looking for, the staff guided me to pieces that matched my tastes. As I contemplated my options, they allowed me to try on the jewelry in front of a mirror. They encouraged me to take my time, offered me a seat, and even prepared a cup of milk tea. This thoughtful gesture helped me relax and make my decision at a comfortable pace. The staff were all friendly and delivered excellent customer service. Plus, the store is certified by NGJA in Sri Lanka, which gave me confidence in my purchase. If I ever get the chance to return to Sri Lanka, I would absolutely visit this store again.
