I want to express my gratitude to nurse Roshanee for the wonderful care I received. She was incredibly respectful and kind. The management of appointment times at the hospital is lacking. I experienced poor customer service, as I had to wait almost two hours for one appointment.

This hospital has some excellent doctors and friendly staff, and it's situated in a convenient and calm location. However, the patient care leaves much to be desired. There are only a few skilled nurses, and the environment is quite noisy because of numerous trainee staff who seem inexperienced (some don't even know how to handle saline). Additionally, there's no elevator for patients, meaning they have to be carried up the stairs in a wheelchair. The wait times for injections or saline replacements can stretch on for hours. The building's facilities are in dire need of upgrades, and overall quality and safety standards need significant enhancement. If these issues were addressed, this could be a really great hospital.

Dr. Livitan has potential, but the hospital itself is dirty and quite unpleasant. I had to go to PHI for a quick health check and it was a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It seems that most businesses in Batticaloa are struggling due to labor issues. Running a hospital and making it financially viable is challenging. I do appreciate their efforts, but the staff really need more training. We need to enhance our workforce and provide them with better skills and training.

This is one of the private hospitals I would suggest. I've been there multiple times and have consistently had a good experience. Firstly, the physicians here are well-respected and experienced, and they really show care for their patients. Additionally, the entire process is well-organized, from making an appointment to consulting with the doctors, and even obtaining medications and specific medical treatment. They have an in-house surgical theater, pharmacy, and wards, along with a reception desk that is always accessible. Lastly, the service charges are quite reasonable. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when scheduling your appointments. Firstly, the waiting times can be quite inconsistent. Sometimes you can receive services within minutes, while other times you may need to wait for several hours. Nonetheless, I believe that the wait is still worthwhile. While most staff are great, there are a few female attendants who might come off as rude. It's also essential to call ahead and confirm your appointment before you head out. Overall, I think the service is excellent for an average person.

Today, the road was blocked for about 15 to 20 minutes while I was coming from the hospital. I honked, but they didn't respond, even after I went to their gate to ask for help. The house owner, who looked to be around 65 to 70 years old, shouted at me using filthy language, displaying poor manners. This happened at the junction of Arayampathy and Kankayanodai. The hospital staff also failed to act promptly or move the vehicle, showing a complete lack of humanity for the sake of money.

I’m not sure where to begin. My wife and I visited due to a pregnancy emergency. When I inquired if the doctor or resident spoke English, since I'm a foreigner, he reacted with surprising anger, as if I had offended him. He only settled down after I clarified my background. We were placed in a room, and a Cardiotocography was supposed to be done immediately, but we ended up waiting 20 minutes for the same doctor to return and yell at the nurse. They finally connected the machine, and 20 minutes later, we found out the nurse had forgotten to hit print, so we had to wait another 20 minutes for that. What should have taken 20 minutes turned into a full hour. At one point, I stepped out briefly, and the doctor was rude to my wife while I was away. People often say private hospitals provide better treatment. This place was a disaster. It felt like we encountered the most incompetent staff, who were also rude and arrogant. To be fair, our actual OB was excellent, and I have no complaints there. However, this hospital is not worth it, especially if you're paying for private care. You’d be better off at a different private hospital or even going public.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended Experience Based in Colombo, my wife has dealt with chronic womb pain for the past four years. Despite exploring various treatments, we struggled to find an effective solution. Thanks to her sister, Mrs. Kasthuri Lenardo, who works at New Pioneer Hospital in Batticaloa, we were encouraged to consult Professor Markandu Thirukumar. On the night of the 14th, we set off to Batticaloa with hope. From our first meeting with the doctor, things took a positive turn. He attentively listened to every detail, thoroughly understood our history, and offered the appropriate treatment. To our amazement and relief, the issue was resolved in just one day. We were very pleased with the consultation, and the consultant fee along with scan charges were quite reasonable, which enhanced our experience even further. Today, we returned to Colombo feeling a significant sense of peace. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Kasthuri Lenardo for her kindness, compassion, and excellent service. Her support was invaluable to us. We wholeheartedly recommend consulting Professor Markandu Thirukumar if anyone has been struggling for an extended period with infertility. You will be in caring and professional hands. Highly recommended for those seeking compassionate and expert care.

Although the doctors here are excellent, I found my interaction with the nursing staff to be very disappointing and alarming. I was given a specific treatment plan that included two daily nebulizer treatments with different medications. Unfortunately, the nurse used a standard nebulizer without verifying my prescriptions, which I only noticed when I looked over the bill. When I raised this issue, the staff's response and customer service were entirely unsatisfactory. It’s crucial that patient safety and proper treatment administration are prioritized much more here.
