Wonderful stay with amazing staff

Our experience at Moi was absolutely delightful! The team was fantastic throughout our visit, consistently checking in and ensuring we felt completely comfortable. A huge thank you to Dinesha and Niroshan for their wonderful hospitality – they truly made us feel at home. We also want to extend our gratitude to Chef Pasindu, who graciously prepared us a delicious breakfast despite our late arrival – such a considerate act that we genuinely appreciated. Moi has a charming and inviting atmosphere, and the staff really enhances the experience. We can't wait to return!

Mold Issues in Female Dorm

I stayed in the female dorm, and I was shocked by the significant amount of mold in the room. While some mold can be expected in a tropical climate, there was actual fungi growing in the corners (photos attached). There was no lock for the room, and the only storage available was a small locker for a passport, leaving no secure place for my belongings. Furthermore, I had to request a top sheet because it wasn't provided. The location is decent, but if you're sensitive to mold, it might be better to choose a different place.

Wonderful stay at Moi Hostel

I picked Moi Hostel randomly for a one-night stay, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience! The hospitality was exceptional, particularly from Niroshan and the other chefs, and the food was incredibly tasty. The location is ideal, just a short stroll from Pedlar Street, the main thoroughfare of Galle Fort. I even chose to extend my stay for an additional day, and the manager graciously accommodated my request without any fuss. All in all, it was a genuinely warm and memorable experience — highly recommended!
