Delightful Lunch at Mays Table
I recently dropped by Mays Table for a quick lunch soup and was genuinely impressed by the whole experience. I had low expectations for something extravagant, but right from the entrance, the restaurant surpassed my hopes. The interior is stunning—elegant, chic, and thoughtfully designed. It strikes a balance between modern and cozy, creating a sophisticated vibe that doesn’t feel too stiff or formal. Aleena particularly enjoyed the colors and atmosphere, making her feel completely at ease. The waitstaff provided excellent service. They were all attentive, friendly, and truly pleasant. I also appreciated the diverse crowd; the mix of locals and tourists created an inviting and comfortable environment for everyone. We were greeted with a complimentary welcome booster shot, which was a nice addition and tasted great. The food was quite notable as well. The portion sizes, pricing, flavors, and overall quality were very good. The authentic flavors really stood out, and one of the reasons I love Thai food is the use of spices and herbs, which this place handles exceptionally well. Their drink selections were unique and intriguing, yet they also offered familiar choices for those who prefer something classic. In summary, it was a fantastic experience for a casual lunch. I’ll certainly be back soon for a full meal and can’t wait to explore more of the menu. I highly recommend it for anyone after authentic Thai flavors, a great atmosphere, and outstanding service in Colombo.
