    Great family staycation at The Maridian

    We enjoyed a fantastic family staycation at The Maridian Hotel in Ella! The Sri Lankan cuisine was delightful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The owner’s warm welcome truly enhanced our experience. As a lover of animals, I was thrilled to meet their charming dog, Jimmy, along with their sweet cat, Victor. We even spotted some peacocks around the hotel, which added a lovely touch to our visit. The rooms felt like private villas, offering stunning views, and everything was impeccably clean. I’m definitely looking forward to returning next year!

    Mixed feelings about the stay

    Regrettably, the rooms were not clean and seemed to have not been aired out. The bathroom was quite messy, making it uncomfortable to walk in barefoot. While the view was beautiful, the surrounding town left much to be desired. The host was very accommodating, but he might need to improve his attention to cleanliness and align more with European standards. Additionally, the room photos did not accurately represent the actual conditions.

    Stunning Views and Great Service

    Located away from the busy streets of Ella, this hotel provides a peaceful retreat with incredible 180° views of the beautiful countryside and majestic mountains. After visiting Sri Lanka four times, I can confidently say this is the most stunning view I've encountered in the region. The six spacious, clean rooms are easily accessible with no stairs to navigate, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty. The owner is wonderfully kind and accommodating, and the breakfast offered is top-notch, all at a price that beats nearby guesthouses. Although it's a 15-minute drive from the town center, the overall experience far outweighs this minor inconvenience! Definitely worth a visit!

    Stunning Views in Peaceful Setting

    Situated away from the chaos of Ella, this hotel provides a serene escape with an incredible 180° panorama of the stunning countryside and nearby mountains. After visiting Sri Lanka for the fourth time, I can confidently say it offers the most breathtaking view I’ve experienced.
