Lack of Clarity on Pricing
I visited Lush Clinic this morning for skin tag removal and felt compelled to share my experience for others booking treatments. It's crucial to ask about the total cost, including the doctor's fee, beforehand. Upon my arrival, I was told that removing the number of skin tags I had would cost around Rs. 25,000–26,000, plus the clinic charge. I agreed to this and proceeded with the treatment. After the numbing cream was applied and I waited for it to work, the doctor carried out the procedure. However, when I received my final bill, it came to approximately Rs. 88,000. I was understandably taken aback and sought clarification. It turned out that the extra amount was the doctor's professional fee. When I inquired why this wasn't disclosed prior to the treatment, I was informed that the doctor's charges are only revealed after the procedure. This aspect of my experience was puzzling and, honestly, disappointing. For a significant additional charge like this, I believe patients should at least be given an estimate of the doctor’s fee and the overall cost before agreeing to anything. After treatment, if the final bill is much higher than expected, patients have no recourse. I acknowledge that I could have asked specifically about a separate doctor’s fee. However, given that I had already been quoted for the treatment and clinic charges, I assumed I had all the necessary cost information. So, my recommendation for anyone considering Lush Clinic for a procedure is this: explicitly ask what the doctor’s fee will be and what the expected total bill might be before consenting to treatment. This isn't meant to critique the treatment itself, but rather to offer constructive feedback on the need for clearer pricing transparency. Patients should be able to make informed choices about the costs involved before proceeding with any procedure.
