We had a great time at La Veranda Di Serena. Booking was easy; we did it through phone and WhatsApp. When we arrived, the team greeted us warmly and assisted with our luggage. The lobby was nice too. Our room was slightly small yet spacious, boasting an incredible sea view that was truly breathtaking. A private balcony would have been a fantastic addition. The room came with basic amenities, including cups, tea, coffee, and sugar packets, plus a comfortable bed, a cupboard, a rack, small tables, chairs, and an electric kettle. However, it felt a bit dark, and brighter lights would have been nice. Overall, the room was cozy and kept cool. The bathroom was clean and had good water pressure along with hot water. Just soap and shampoo were provided, so don’t forget to bring your own toiletries like toothpaste and a toothbrush. There was no TV or iron in the room. The outdoor spaces were lacking. The beach was a bit small but easily accessible from the hotel, clean, and calm, making it perfect for swimming. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some turtles. In general, the staff offered friendly and polite service. This apartment offers possibly the best bathroom view I've ever experienced, located on the top floor. It's very roomy and right by the sea, although the water can get a bit choppy depending on the wind. You can slide open most of the windows to let in the soothing sounds and fresh breeze of the ocean. I even spotted a large turtle swimming nearby.

The hotel is situated in a spot that offers breathtaking sea views (we were fortunate to spot turtles from our balcony). You can enjoy a restful night in a clean and cozy room, all while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves crashing.

Location is everything, and this place is right on the water's edge. We enjoyed a top-floor room with breathtaking views of the ocean and the soothing sound of crashing waves day and night. The abundance of windows allowed for a lovely breeze. I think it has the best bathroom view in all of Sri Lanka. The rooms have a cozy cabin or local chalet feel, reminiscent of mountain lodges. They are a bit basic and could use some updates, but I felt right at home. It might be worth getting rid of the old, non-functional tape stereo and giving the kitchen area some attention. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming—an outstanding team. I can't wait to return for a longer stay next time; a month here would be a dream. I highly recommend this place.
