What a fantastic find! This place has a wonderful outdoor area that provides a peaceful escape while overlooking Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya, away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The food is top-notch—freshly made, perfectly spiced, and generous portions. The service is outstanding, with attentive and very friendly staff. I highly recommend La Pangea and will definitely return!

This place is a must-visit in Kandy! We enjoyed it so much that we came back two nights in a row. The food was incredibly tasty, and the family running the restaurant is exceptionally friendly. They visited our table multiple times to check in and get to know us. It was genuinely a delightful experience ❤️

The food here was fantastic! You absolutely need to try the homemade ginger beer; it definitely lives up to the positive reviews. We ordered the chicken curry with rice, which was delicious and came with a variety of vegetable curries. For dessert, we enjoyed pineapple fritters drizzled with Sri Lankan honey. This is a MUST-try; it was incredible. The terrace is charming and cozy, nicely set away from the busy road. The staff are friendly and engaging, asking about our travels and suggesting places to visit in Kandy. I would highly recommend this spot. It has a wonderful vibe to it.

La Pangea Cafe & Restaurant is a fantastic find in Kandy! This place offers a relaxed vibe, tasty food, and a charming setting. I want to highlight Lasantha, whose service was truly exceptional. He went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of, consistently exceeding our expectations during our visits. His friendliness and attentiveness really added to our experience. We enjoyed it so much that we returned twice while in Kandy! I highly recommend it — delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and outstanding service. The server was extremely courteous. We chose the Sri Lankan curry with rice, and it was fantastic. For a side, we got the fried potatoes, which were cooked in coconut oil, making them a healthier option.

I had the Chicken Kottu and a Passionfruit juice. The juice was quite refreshing, especially in the heat. You can see the Buddha statue on Bahirawa Kanda in the distance.

We visited during the off season and were the only patrons, with just one staff member on duty. He managed to prepare two servings of rice and curry along with six different curries all by himself while also serving drinks. It turned out to be the best food we've had on our trip so far! I highly recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The banana-passion fruit juice was outstanding, and the curry was the best I've ever had in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 I also received a very warm welcome.
