    Frustrating experience with trainees

Many staff members appear to be trainees rather than qualified doctors. Even after I mentioned that I was only there for lunch, they insisted on conducting a blood sugar test, claiming my levels were high, which only served to increase my bill.

    Terrible ambulance service experience

I’m not sure about the eligibility for ambulance services, but the behavior of the drivers is appalling. They park their ambulances in a way that blocks the cars of consultants and then disappear without a trace! This happened today at CSTH. When they finally arrive and you ask them something, they respond rudely with, "Why miss, didn’t you notice the number on the ambulance?" Do they even realize who or what they are speaking to? There’s a rule that they should provide their private numbers for contact if they’re blocking other vehicles in the hospital parking lot. Instead of offering an apology, your drivers respond with hostility. If this behavior continues, I will report it to the health ministry and the police for misconduct! This is unacceptable. Hospitals deal with emergencies, and everyone should act responsibly. This service is ridiculous.

    Great Doctors, Terrible Nurses

The doctors here are excellent, but the nurses are quite unpleasant. Their attitudes are through the roof. I went to the Soysapura branch because I appreciate the doctors' consultations, but the nurses were making faces at each other and treated patients as if to question why we were there.

    Outstanding Emergency Care Service

I received exceptional service from the team of doctors and nurses at Colombo South Emergency Call Service. When my 94-year-old dad fell ill suddenly, the doctor and nurse arrived at our home within just 10 minutes. They were incredibly kind to him, providing the necessary treatment and helping him feel better. I'm very grateful to Colombo South Emergency Call Service.

    Unprofessional Medical Staff Experience

The medical staff was extremely unprofessional. We called them in for a straightforward cannulation, but a doctor arrived who merely observed the nurse performing the procedure. During this, he noticed my dad's name, began inquiring about his whereabouts, and revealed that he knew my dad from childhood. We explained that since it was post-surgery, we preferred not to inform anyone and requested confidentiality until my dad had recovered. He assured us he would keep it private, yet within an hour, we started receiving calls and visits from people asking all sorts of questions about ailments my dad never had, claiming they heard it from Dr. Wijesinghe. Doctors like this tarnish the reputation of the entire profession, and it's disheartening to see companies defending them even after we lodged a complaint! Be cautious about who enters your home wearing a white coat!

    Poor medical service experience

I cannot recommend this place at all; they seem clueless about inserting a cannula. The doctor even asked the patient how to administer the IV (liquid medicine). I was really disappointed. It felt like a waste of both time and money.

    Adequate care for emergencies

This facility serves as a medical emergency center with an ambulance on site, dedicated to treating the most vulnerable patients. A team of skilled nurses and a doctor provides care here. They also offer temporary housing for elderly individuals, which allows families to feel secure about their loved ones during emergencies. Although it may not be exemplary, they do meet immediate healthcare needs effectively. I believe they will strive to enhance and upgrade their facilities over time.

    Frustrating Emergency Care Experience

I completely resonate with the negative experiences shared here. I’ve been to this facility three times during emergencies, and each time I was told the doctor was out on a home visit, forcing me to wait for about an hour. The nurses seemed quite at ease telling patients to sit and wait. I believe nurses should receive training to be more caring and professional in their roles. I won’t be returning to this facility again. It’s supposed to be emergency care, but expecting patients to wait an hour for a doctor is unacceptable!

    Disappointing and Unprofessional Service

This place is extremely disappointing and feels fraudulent. They provide prescriptions without a doctor’s seal, raising doubts about the qualifications of their doctors. When I tried to address my concerns, the staff responded in a very unprofessional way. They showed no willingness to fix or address the issues. In particular, the so-called nurse Suranga lacks respect for patients and customers. Additionally, the doctors fail to specify dosage and duration for medications, leading to claim rejections as shown in the attached image. I am utterly disheartened by the service I received.
