Disappointed with kitten's treatment
I am writing this review filled with disappointment over the treatment my kitten received. On April 13th, I brought my kitten to your clinic in Galle due to a fever. The doctor prescribed medication and saline treatment, and we were sent home. When there was no improvement, I returned on the 15th, only to find out that my kitten had tick fever and was given more medication. Yet, the fever persisted. I then sought a second opinion from another vet, and within just one day of treatment, my kitten showed notable improvement. However, it was unable to pass stool. I went back to the original doctor, who recommended a scan to determine the problem. After coming back for the scan, I asked if an enema could be performed to assist my kitten. After the procedure, my kitten became extremely weak and still couldn’t pass stool. The next day, I took my kitten to another veterinarian for a second enema, which finally allowed my kitten to pass stool. Sadly, despite this, my kitten did not survive. It pains me to say this, but I believe that carelessness in treatment contributed to this loss. The site where the saline was administered even became infected and filled with pus. People care for their pets with love, and it’s heartbreaking to lose them this way. I urge you to take this matter seriously. Ensure that experienced and knowledgeable veterinarians handle such cases. Having facilities isn't sufficient if there is a lack of proper experience and care. I hope you will consider this situation and take necessary steps to enhance the quality of care, so that no other pet or owner has to experience such a painful ordeal.
