    Wonderful beachfront stay with great service

    We enjoyed our stay so much that we chose to extend it by another day! Located right on the beach, we had uninterrupted views of the ocean and could stroll along the shore at will. The hotel managers were accommodating, friendly, and professional. The entire staff, from the gardeners to the bar personnel, kitchen crew, room service, and security, were attentive and kind. The sunset views from the beautiful pool were enchanting. And Kiki, the hotel dog, added a special touch to our visit, greeting us as we arrived, lounging with us by the pool or during breakfast, and asking for some last pets before we checked out. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, a lovely upgrade arranged by Franziska, and the room was absolutely stunning. It featured high ceilings, a beautiful shower and bathtub with ocean views, a wraparound balcony perfect for soaking in the beautiful surroundings, and efficient air conditioning for the hot, humid weather. Each morning was a delight as we headed down to choose our breakfast for the day. The breakfast was fresh and delicious every time, keeping us full until the complimentary snack happy hour around 2 PM. We really didn’t want to leave and are so thankful to have found such a treasure in Hikkaduwa. Thank you to the Dormero Sri Lanka team for providing us with a chance to completely unwind and relax!

    Fantastic Stay at Dormero Hotel

    Our stay at the Dormero Hotel was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. After having to cancel our original hotel due to serious hygiene concerns, we were fortunate to find a room available here. Communicating with the hotel manager, Franziska—a really cool German surfer with her dog Kiki—was easy and warm via WhatsApp. We even got a complimentary room upgrade for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived early, the entire staff took great care of us; everyone was exceptionally friendly. A special shoutout to Sanuka for his help. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the balcony with a sea view was exceptional. Breakfast was top-notch, featuring a variety of freshly squeezed juices, and there was more food than we could finish! The pool was a delightful escape with a stunning view of the ocean. Honestly, there wasn’t a single downside. The value for what we received was remarkable, and we would absolutely return. Thank you so much! ♥️

    Lovely hotel with great service

    This hotel is truly luxurious. We rang in the New Year here and were impressed by the fantastic program, live music, and outstanding service. 👍🏼 We also visit for breakfast; the food is tasty, the chef does a wonderful job, and the service is prompt. The atmosphere is very serene, offering a breathtaking view of the ocean along with a lovely pool. 😊 It's conveniently situated right in the heart of Hikkaduwa. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking tranquility, stunning views, and top-notch service. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    Exceptional Stay at Dormero Hotel

    I spent two nights at the Dormero Hotel, and for the first time in my life, I encountered such a wonderful hotel manager. She is always cheerful, eager to assist, and goes above and beyond to ensure top-notch service. My overall experience at the hotel was fantastic. I adored the room, which featured a large balcony with a direct ocean view, and the location was very convenient. I would rate each of those aspects as five stars. Additionally, the breakfast was both gourmet and delicious. This is definitely the best place to stay on the south coast.

    Exceptional stay with great service

    We stayed here for a week, and it was truly remarkable. Every aspect, from the room to the service, was carefully considered. The hotel staff was wonderful overall, but we want to particularly thank the hotel manager, Franziska, who went out of her way to meet all our needs. We also want to highlight Kiki, who made us feel right at home. The food was not only tasty but also beautifully arranged. The hotel's location was ideal, with all major attractions within a short distance. The ocean view from our room was stunning, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of both sunrise and sunset each day. This hotel surpassed our expectations, and we will definitely come back in the future.

    This boutique hotel in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka, is absolutely stunning and stylish, right by the beach. Every aspect is flawless, from the exquisite décor to the incredible artwork. The space is thoughtfully curated and effortlessly chic. Everything from the comfort and cleanliness to the warm atmosphere surpassed my expectations. The restaurant is lovely, the food is tasty, and breakfast is truly outstanding; I couldn't find a single fault. Waking up to the sound of waves and breathtaking ocean views from my room was magical. A delightful bonus was Kiki the dog, who instantly melts your heart and adds charm to this special place. The staff are remarkable — they are genuinely the heart and soul of the hotel. Franzi, Sanuka, Hashini, and the whole team went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. A special shoutout to Savinda for your fantastic service, always accompanied by a beautiful smile. Their kindness, professionalism, and warmth made me feel incredibly cared for. My room was simply the best I've ever experienced.
