    Lovely stay with beautiful views

    My wife and I spent two nights here to conclude our two-week trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel had a charming and laid-back atmosphere. Our room was fantastic, and the balcony offered stunning views of the scenery and wildlife, making for one of the best sunrises I've experienced. The owner and his staff were very accommodating and took great care of us. The availability of filtered water was a nice touch, and the coffee was superb. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beach. We can't wait to return!

    Great stay at Ceylon’s House

    My son and I booked a few days at Ceylon’s House, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience! The warm welcome made us feel right at home, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They even arranged guided tours around the area, including a trip to turtle beach, which my son adored. The food was fantastic and diverse—definitely don’t miss out on the seafood! The chef is quite talented. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable, and waking up to the sounds of birdsong from the balcony overlooking the jungle was a treat. The roof terrace offers an amazing view, perfect for bird watching, spotting bats, and enjoying the sunset. Plus, the swimming pool was ideal for unwinding. If you’re looking for authenticity and relaxation while still being conveniently located, this is definitely a place to visit with confidence!

    Fantastic stay with wonderful hospitality

    I can't recommend this place highly enough. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The family who runs this hotel are incredibly accommodating; they made sure our experience was unforgettable by organizing activities like surfing! The house and the views were stunning, and it’s just a short walk to the beach. The food was among the best we tried during our time in Sri Lanka. We wish the owners all the best and hope to come back someday!

    Stunning hotel with great views

    This hotel is set in a gorgeous natural setting, offering fantastic views from both your private terrace and the communal deck. The rooms are very comfortable, and the owner and staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Great stay with helpful staff

    We spent four nights at this wonderful guest house. The staff were extremely friendly and assisted us in fixing our broken scooter. The location is delightful, offering a stunning view.

    Disappointing stay with many issues

    My experience at the hotel was quite disappointing. Rather than the expected comfort, I encountered indifferent staff, unclean facilities, a lack of hot water, and non-working Wi-Fi. It took over an hour for breakfast to be prepared, and I noticed the staff eating before they served the guests. The noise levels during the night and early morning made it difficult to get proper rest. What was particularly uncomfortable was how the staff interacted with women — they greeted and addressed only the men with phrases like "Hello, sir" and "Thank you, sir," while ignoring women, even when I greeted them with a smile first. This created an atmosphere of awkwardness and a feeling of disrespect. Overall, the hotel has a neglected and unwelcoming vibe, showing little genuine concern for its guests. Not recommended

    Challenging stay at Ceylons House

    Ceylons House in Hikkaduwa didn't quite meet our expectations. Reaching the location was tricky, requiring a drive up a steep, poorly maintained mountain road. While the hotel itself wasn't awful, the atmosphere felt a bit off. The owner often lingered around, which detracted from our relaxation. The air conditioning was noisy, resembling a tuktuk that never stopped, the room was quite cramped, and the shower left much to be desired. Given our experience, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.
