    Delicious Sri Lankan Dining Experience

    We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Rustic Roots. I ordered the crab curry while my partner chose the traditional kottu, and both dishes were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Our server, Randy, was outstanding! He was friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our dining experience. He even provided us with mosquito spray! This is a wonderful place for genuine Sri Lankan cuisine, and we would gladly recommend it to others.

    Delightful cafe in Hikkaduwa

    This cafe is a true hidden gem in Hikkaduwa. We were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food and the artistic presentation. The chef's skills are remarkable, and the owner is a wonderful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and my daughter, who is usually quite selective with her food, even insisted that I leave a 5-star review for this fantastic cafe.

    We checked out this cafe based on a friend's suggestion, and we were not disappointed. The vibe is inviting and feels like a family gathering. This place focuses more on heartfelt food than on showmanship, striking just the right balance between homely comfort and lively flavors. The staff is welcoming and attentive, though be prepared for a wait of about 15-20 minutes since the dishes are made fresh. I highly recommend trying: - The shrimp, which is fantastic! - Kottu roti - Roti - Fish tuna. The portions are hefty, making them easy to share. The prices are fair, with no added service charge. Plus, they always provide complimentary tea and coffee. A big thank you! We look forward to returning!

    Exceptional Food and Service!

    I want to start by giving a shoutout to Kodi and Udara for their outstanding hospitality. They were incredibly polite. The food was simply amazing—extremely delicious and freshly prepared. The quality is definitely worth the price, which is quite affordable compared to other places. Although it’s a small venue, it fulfills its purpose perfectly! This is a must-try, and I highly recommend it! Don't judge a restaurant by its appearance 😅. A big thank you to the kitchen for a wonderful meal. The location is also fantastic, right next to the public beach!

    Amazing First Lobster Experience

    It was my first experience with lobster, and it was fantastic. I strongly recommend the Garlic Lobster! Our server was friendly and made us feel at home. If we had spent more time in Hikkaduwa, we would have definitely dined here again. 10/10

    Delicious Seafood Platter Experience

    We visited this new restaurant after reading some reviews, eager to try the renowned seafood platter in the area. The place is beautifully decorated, clean, and has an upstairs seating area where we chose to sit. We ordered the seafood platter, which had enough seafood and sides to serve two. Although they were out of lobster due to the season, they substituted it with lagoon prawns. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were incredible. Service was top-notch, just like you'd expect from a great restaurant in this area; the staff were friendly and attentive. Given the quality of the seafood, the prices felt quite reasonable for what we received.

    Outstanding Curry Experience in Sri Lanka

    This is hands down the best curry I've tasted in Sri Lanka! It's a charming little spot with the friendliest staff and even better food. My curry was bursting with flavor, and the staff inquired about my spice preference. The jumbo prawns were enormous and incredibly delicious! I would definitely recommend it! 🤩

    Fresh and Delicious Dinner Experience

    Tucked away from the street's hustle and bustle, the food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious! During our dinner, we ordered a lobster 🦞, and the staff weighed it at our table, giving us the chance to choose without any pressure. The service was wonderfully friendly ✨. We also sampled their citrus frizz mocktail, which was fantastic!

    Fantastic food and service

    I had a wonderful experience with the food. The owner and staff provided excellent and friendly service. The dishes were outstanding, featuring some of the best lobster I've ever tasted. We visited for lunch to celebrate a special occasion, and it was definitely worth it. Honestly, a 5-star rating doesn’t do it justice.

    Great cafe near Turtle Beach

    The prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. The food was delicious and truly incredible. We chose this cafe after reading reviews in the chat, and we were not disappointed! If I recall correctly, the owner frequently checked in to see if we were enjoying our meal. They even treated us to coffee, ice cream, and chips on the house. I'm thrilled with the experience and would recommend it to everyone. It's conveniently located near Turtle Beach.
