    Favorite Spot in Dambulla

    This place is one of our go-to spots in Dambulla. The distinctive architecture and delicious food draw us in every day. Their cheesecake is a standout, making it the only place in Dambulla where you can enjoy it 🍰. They also offer ramen, fresh croissants, hot and tasty muffins, and more. On tough days, their coffee always lifts my spirits. The staff treats customers like family; once, they personally brought me a replacement after I casually mentioned that the cheesecake I had that day wasn’t up to their usual standard. A special shout out to Miss Wathsala, my favorite staff member!

    This is a charming spot and a refreshing addition to Dambulla. The staff is warm and attentive, ensuring your needs are met. The ambiance is delightful, making it ideal for everything from quiet personal moments to larger gatherings. While prices are somewhat steep, they align with what you'd find in similar cafes, especially in Colombo and its outskirts. The entrance is located off a small road near the Dambulla Kurunegala road, but it's easy to locate. The only downside is that their desserts and coffee could use a bit of improvement. Overall, it’s quite good, but a few tweaks could elevate it to perfection.

Easily among the best I've tasted in Sri Lanka, it's skillfully brewed and clearly made from high-quality beans. Whether you desire a robust espresso or a smooth latte, the baristas consistently deliver excellence. Ultimately, the atmosphere brings everything together. The decor is delightful, the seating is inviting, and the overall ambiance is incredibly welcoming. It’s a fantastic spot to unwind, work, or socialize with friends. Treat yourself to a visit at Cafe De Skylark—you won't regret it!

    Great spot for work and coffee

    Dambula lacks many places to work, making this spot a standout. It offers reliable wifi, power outlets, excellent coffee, and very good food. It's not only a café but also a restaurant next door. With air conditioning, it gives off a vibe similar to Starbucks. Highly recommended!

    Great coffee at a local gem

    The coffee here is fantastic, far surpassing what you'll find at Starbucks. While the pastries are just okay, I came specifically for the coffee and it did not disappoint. It's a great way to support a local business instead of those big corporate tax dodgers. Plus, there's WIFI and AC, making it an ideal spot for working or organizing travel plans in a calm and comfortable environment.

    This cafe offers a delightful, cozy atmosphere that’s hard to come by in Dambulla. The interior design is tastefully executed, creating a warm and inviting environment. The brand logo has a Starbucks-like appeal, which complements the overall aesthetic nicely. We sampled their hot chocolates along with some cookies, both of which were quite good. The cookies were topped well, and the hot chocolate was satisfying. It would be an improvement if they included a small sugar bowl on the side, allowing customers to adjust the sweetness to their liking. In summary, it’s wonderful to see a barista-style cafe like this opening up in Dambulla, as such places are relatively uncommon in the region. It’s definitely a charming spot to unwind, chat, and savor a cozy drink. ☕

    Highly Recommended Restaurant Experience

    We wholeheartedly recommend this spot! For lunch, we enjoyed the Dal Curry and a Crispy Chicken Burger, along with a Caramel Macchiato to-go. Everything tasted fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant/café is air-conditioned. Dinner features a lovely candlelight setting. You can also pay with a card.

    Charming cafe with great service

    This delightful little cafe in town is so cozy. They generously let us store our bags while we visited the Cave temple. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The drinks and ice creams were excellent as well. There's plenty of space available to sit back, read a book, or even work—there was even a guy using his laptop while we were there.

    I had a fantastic time at Cafe de Skylar! The setting is warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, making it an ideal place to unwind, catch up with friends, or enjoy some peaceful moments. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant vibe of the cafe. The drinks were well made and enjoyable.     Fantastic Experience at Cafe De Skylark

    I recently visited Cafe De Skylark and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is super cozy, beautifully designed with wooden elements, making it a perfect place to unwind or socialize. We ordered their wraps accompanied by crispy fries, and they were tasty, fresh, and nicely portioned. The drinks were incredibly refreshing, particularly the iced chocolate/frappe and the lime mocktail. To finish off, the muffin was soft and packed with flavor. Excellent food, lovely presentation, and a delightful ambiance. I would definitely recommend this spot and plan to return! 💯✨
