This charming little hut right on the beach is a gem. Mansu and his family are incredibly kind; after discovering our love for Sri Lankan breakfasts, they treated us to a generous spread of local dishes each morning. It's fantastic to have direct access to the sea for swimming every day. On the downside, the hut lacks air conditioning, which makes it quite humid due to the proximity to the sea, and our laundry often felt damp. Installing air conditioning would be a great improvement. Nonetheless, we enjoyed absolute tranquility; the sound of the sea was the loudest noise we heard. Plus, we had a spacious private seating area outdoors. The wildlife around was impressive too. We had a monitor lizard visit us on the terrace several mornings, which we noticed since we slept with the windows open. Additionally, a pair of peacocks dropped by, along with chipmunks, lizards, and plenty of hermit crabs in the evenings.

A fantastic place where we're returning for the third time! From the moment you arrive, relaxation sets in. You can unwind while enjoying the stunning water views, listening to the waves, or take a swim whenever you wish. The water is warm and tranquil, with a gorgeous hue, particularly on sunny days. When the visibility is clear, you might even spot some turtles. The host here is wonderful—a really nice and humorous guy who can guide you on a tour if you're interested and whip up delicious Sri Lankan dishes. I highly recommend visiting Ocean Beach House to soak in the chill-out atmosphere!

This spot offers some of the most laid-back vibes you can find. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the host is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for genuine relaxation. We've been coming here for three consecutive years and definitely plan to return. Don't think twice about making a reservation!
