This café is brightly illuminated by natural light thanks to the glass wall, so it lacks the dim, peaceful vibe some might prefer. The staff is incredibly friendly, providing great assistance in choosing the best options for you. The coffee is excellent and quite filling, making it easy to linger there for hours. However, there's only one outlet available for charging devices, which isn't ideal.

I'm really happy to see a Java Lounge in Negombo now. It's a convenient spot with delicious food and coffee, just like always! You have to try their hot chocolate—it's the best around! 🖤 The only downside is that if you sit outside, the noise from the road can be a bit overwhelming. But overall, it's an amazing place!

Java Lounge is a wonderfully cozy place with a fantastic atmosphere. I enjoyed an incredible Kiwi drink, and the staff were very friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Known for its excellent coffee selection, this café is a great pick for coffee enthusiasts or anyone seeking a relaxing environment. I highly recommend it!

This place is really nice and cozy, and the service is excellent. The food is fantastic as well. I tried the smoked paper beef panini, and it was delicious for me.

This is one of the newest cafes in Negombo. They uphold the typical Java Lounge standard with delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. My only issue is the lack of power outlets; there's just one. I'd love to come here more often to work if they had additional outlets available. The service was excellent, clearly showcasing the staff's training. Highly recommended!

I stopped by for a slice of cheesecake, and it was absolutely divine. The customer service was excellent, and the café was extremely clean with some great background music playing. I thoroughly enjoyed my tea along with my cheesecake. I highly recommend this place.

This newly opened café in Negombo is truly a lovely spot to unwind with a slice of cake and a cup of coffee. It's bright and airy, filled with natural light and a tranquil atmosphere, making it ideal for small gatherings, dates, working, or studying. They even have charging stations by the tables, which is a nice touch for anyone working while enjoying their coffee. I sampled the Blueberry Cheesecake, Nightmare Cake, and Brownie Chocolate Milkshake. Nightmare Cake was the standout for me! It's rich, moist, and incredibly chocolatey, all at a reasonable price. If you're a chocolate lover like I am, you'll find it to be pure bliss. However, if you prefer milder chocolate flavors, you might want to pass on this one. The Blueberry Cheesecake was smooth and creamy, offering a nice lighter alternative. As for the Brownie Chocolate Milkshake (Brownie Frappé), it’s a bit of a mixed bag. It costs more than the standard chocolate milkshake (Chocolate cream frappé), yet it just tastes like a regular chocolate milkshake with a few small brownie bits on top of a lot of whipped cream. The brownie pieces weren’t very impressive, and there was just too much cream. But if you overlook the brownie and the excess cream, the milkshake itself is delicious! They should consider cutting back on the whipped cream and adjusting the price. The staff here are friendly, courteous, and ready to help. They maintain good hygiene, and the café is kept clean. Overall, it’s a solid choice in Negombo for cake and coffee, especially for those who adore chocolate.

I've visited several Java Lounge locations, and this one has quickly become one of my favorites. It's located upstairs above the Popeyes, which might be easy to miss, but once you go up, it reveals a really nice and relaxed environment. Despite sharing the building, it maintains that familiar Java Lounge vibe—calm, somewhat secluded from the hustle, and comfortable enough to linger a while. What impressed me most during my visit was the service. There was just one staff member managing everything at that time, yet it didn’t feel like the place was lacking help. He navigated between taking orders, preparing food, and attending to customers with ease, showing no signs of stress, and everything was executed smoothly. Handling both speed and quality alone isn’t simple, but he managed it well while remaining friendly and approachable. Parking isn't an issue either, as the nearby Softlogic area has ample space, making the visit much more convenient compared to other spots in the city. I also appreciate how easy it is to order through their app. I've used it at a few locations, and it's consistently reliable. It saves time, especially if you know what you want, which enhances the overall experience. In summary, it's a pleasant, hassle-free place to grab a coffee, sit for a while, or just make a quick stop. Good atmosphere, efficient service, and a convenient layout—pretty much what you'd expect, but executed really well.
