Service Issues Amid Food Quality Concerns
Service was lacking. We experienced water supply issues and the service was very poor overall. It seems there are ongoing problems with meal quality, incorrect orders, and the restaurant's service.

Facilities and food need improvement
The facilities didn't meet expectations, and the restrooms were poorly maintained. The food was quite disappointing, particularly given the high price per dish. There are clear areas for improvement in cleanliness, food quality, and overall value for money. Unfortunately, my experience here was not satisfactory, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others. I hope the management takes customer feedback to heart and makes necessary improvements to both the facilities and food quality going forward.

Disappointing Service at Kites Mountain Hotel
I can't recommend Kites Mountain Hotel to anyone. We recently held a gathering there, and sadly, the service was quite lacking. There was no water available in both the men's and women's restrooms. Even after we alerted the management, it took a considerable amount of time for them to fix the water issue. Additionally, I strongly suggest that guests keep a close eye on their food orders. We faced issues with the food quantities; we received less than what we ordered but were still charged for the full amount. In summary, the service was really disappointing and didn’t meet expectations. I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. Please consider your options carefully before deciding to visit here.

Disappointing Experience Despite Clean Room
My stay at the hotel in Badulla was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had. I booked my stay from Colombo and clearly mentioned that I would arrive around 5:00 AM. However, I got there at about 4:00 AM, only to find the main gate locked. I tried calling the hotel multiple times, but no one picked up. After a tiring journey, I had to wait outside in the cold for almost two hours. Eventually, someone answered around 5:45 AM, but there was no apology. The staff member casually mentioned he thought I was arriving at 6:00 AM. Once I finally got inside, I found the room to be clean, comfortable, and fairly priced, with hot water available, so no complaints there. Yet, customer service left much to be desired. We booked this hotel for our batch party and agreed on a specific food menu, but they didn’t deliver what was promised, claiming the chef was on holiday. We had ordered food for 50 people, but only about 35 showed up, and the chicken and curries ran out before everyone could eat. Although we ordered three desserts, only two arrived, and the ice cream came much later. The biggest problem was the lack of water in the washrooms for over 5 hours. This caused serious issues, especially for the women, making the situation extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing during our event. I had booked a double room, and one of my friends, who had been drinking, needed to stay in my room. I informed the manager about this, and he agreed. However, the next morning at checkout, a staff member started lecturing me about their room rules, even though I had already gotten approval from the manager. If there were any issues, they should have been addressed when I first spoke to the manager, not during checkout. While the room was decent, the overall experience was marred by poor communication, a lack of basic customer service, and the staff's attitude. Personally, I would not choose to stay here again.

Spacious stay with attentive service
The hotel offered an impressive amount of space, and since we were the only guests during our whole visit, it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, including the pool. Our time at the Kite Mountain Hotel was wonderful. The owner was very accessible and attentive during our stay, and the staff matched that level of helpfulness. They even transported us wherever we needed to go in a tuk-tuk for a very fair price, and we really formed a bond with them. Thank you for everything!
