Pleasant stay with some drawbacks

We recently enjoyed a stay here with the bed & breakfast package and overall, it was a nice experience. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and definitely worthy of a 5/5 rating. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent as well. However, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. We encountered about nine frogs in the bathroom during our visit, which was quite off-putting and made using the facilities uncomfortable. We had to expend considerable effort to remove the frogs. While we understand the villa is nestled in nature, implementing some measures to keep frogs out of the rooms and bathrooms would significantly enhance the guest experience. Additionally, the outdoor lighting could use some enhancement. The balcony areas were poorly lit at night, making it hard to take photos in the dim light and creating a somewhat mysterious atmosphere that made moving around a bit tricky and unsafe. Overall, the setting was acceptable (3/5), and despite these challenges, we appreciated the hospitality and cleanliness. With a few adjustments, this villa could provide an even better experience for future visitors.

Great value and peaceful getaway

Orellia Villa is an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet and relaxing retreat without breaking the bank. Given the price, it truly offers great value for your money. Perched on a steep hill, the villa provides a lovely atmosphere and tranquil surroundings. Just be aware that the road leading to the property is quite steep, so drive with caution. There's parking available, but it only fits about three cars, which could be an issue during busier times. I was particularly impressed by the rooms. They feature a stunning wooden interior that creates a warm, cozy, and distinctive ambiance. The staff members were also very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, always eager to assist with a smile. The food was good overall, but if you choose to dine there, I highly recommend the rice and curry. It was my favorite dish and significantly better than some other items on the menu. Another delightful surprise was the resident dog, a mix between a German Shepherd and a Husky. She’s incredibly friendly and playful, and if you love dogs, you’ll likely find yourself spending time with her. In summary, Orellia Villa is a serene spot to relax, appreciate nature, and escape the hustle of city life. With its friendly staff, cozy wooden rooms, tasty food, and calming atmosphere, I would certainly recommend it. Just remember to take your time on the steep road leading up!

I had a fantastic stay at Orelia Villa with my friends! From the moment we got there, the tranquil atmosphere helped us feel at ease. Nestled in nature, it’s an ideal spot to relax, recharge, and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The villa is spotless, cozy, and well-maintained. Comfortable Stay with Great Service

I stayed at the villa with my family for two nights, and I must say Gagana, a young entrepreneur who just graduated high school, did an outstanding job ensuring our stay was enjoyable. He and his team were attentive, fulfilling all our breakfast and food requests. The customer service was top-notch and very accommodating. The atmosphere of the place is serene, peaceful, and clean, aligning perfectly with the eco-friendly concept.

Great cabana experience near attractions

This was my first time staying in a cabana, and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The room was exceptionally clean and cozy, nestled amid lush greenery. We really enjoyed the pleasant weather and the overall atmosphere. The staff made us feel very welcome. We explored many attractions around Badulla, and it was a big plus that the villa is conveniently situated near these sites. We had a wonderful time overall.

Charming jungle cabins with minor noise

These lovely cabins nestled in the jungle offer a fantastic getaway. Just a heads up, there are a few dogs nearby, so you might want to pack some earplugs as they tend to bark and howl at night. Other than that, it’s an incredible escape and offers excellent value! We would certainly return.

Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings
