    Relaxing Beachfront Retreat

    This is a fantastic spot to unwind, even though I was on the move during my stay. The owner, Dinesh, and his wife, Kumari, were incredibly kind and helpful, even sharing their Awurudu treats with me to celebrate my own. Situated right across from Kallady Beach, the area was very peaceful and had a haunting stillness in the early morning, making it feel like I was the only person in the world. The resort is located in a region heavily impacted by the tsunami disaster, with various memorials and monuments reflecting different faiths. Overall, Batticaloa is definitely a place worth visiting at least once in your lifetime.

    Comfortable Stay with Sea View

    I walked in without a reservation and was given a lovely bungalow at a great price, right by the beach with a sea view. The owner is incredibly attentive, making me feel very comfortable throughout my stay.

    Exceptional Hospitality at This Resort

    Right from the start, Thinesh, the owner, stands out as one of the most welcoming hosts I’ve encountered on my travels. He genuinely strives to provide the best experience for every guest at his resort. The rooms are spacious and have a distinctive style, equipped with all the necessary amenities. The morning sunlight enhances the garden atmosphere, creating a stunning view. Although the beach in front can be a bit rough, everything you need is conveniently nearby. You can explore all of Batticaloa from this resort without feeling like you’ve traveled too far. I would gladly return for another visit.

    Great location by Kallady Beach

    We had a wonderful stay here during our trip to the East. The highlight was definitely the location — the hotel is located right across from Kallady Beach, making it ideal for enjoying the sea and unwinding. 🌊❤️ The room was tidy and cozy, and the staff were warm and accommodating. We truly appreciated the tranquil vibe and the stunning beach just steps from the hotel. I highly recommend this spot if you're heading to Kallady. I would love to return! 😍

    Great host and comfy rooms

    Thinesh is an excellent host. The rooms are very comfortable and the beach is easily accessible. However, it's advisable to have your own transportation since it's somewhat away from the main road.

    Lovely stay at Sea View Resort

    I had a fantastic experience at Sea View Resort. This cozy homestay has a very inviting atmosphere, and the host was exceptionally kind and respectful. We also relished a tasty breakfast that included tea, toast, and fresh fruits. The location is ideal, right across from the beach, adding to its charm. I highly recommend it!

    Great stay at a welcoming resort

    I had a fantastic experience at this resort! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, always there to assist us with whatever we needed, which truly enhanced our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I was also taken by the lovely garden – it was serene, well-kept, and ideal for some relaxation. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in search of a peaceful and inviting getaway.

    Great location near Kallady Beach

    The rooms are tidy, and it's just a short walk to Kallady Beach. You can even catch a glimpse of the beach from their garden. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

    Great location but noisy accommodations

    I spent four nights here and found the host to be friendly and accommodating. The location is really convenient, just a short walk to the beach. However, this place is probably best for early risers or those who aren’t bothered by noise. The property is quite open, which means sounds carry easily. I noticed noise starting early in the morning, from cleaning, breakfast chatter, and even a rooster crowing at around 4:00 a.m. If you’re a light sleeper or enjoy sleeping in, you might find this a bit difficult, but early birds shouldn't have an issue. Privacy is somewhat lacking due to the open layout. I also noticed a slight damp smell in the room, and the air conditioning was only operable in an on/off manner since the remote was broken. Additionally, the bathroom sink felt a little unstable. While there's no direct view of the sea, it’s close enough, though the upkeep could be better. In summary, this place may suit those seeking a basic stay near the beach who can overlook noise and privacy concerns.

    Great stay by the ocean

    Staying in the cabana by the ocean was fantastic, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. The garden is lovely, plus there’s free filtered water and a space for yoga and gymnastics! I also really enjoyed a generous breakfast. Thank you, Thinesh!
