Average experience at Gammedda

I had a pretty average time at Gammedda Gampaha Family Restaurant. The place has a pleasant village-style vibe that creates a unique and relaxing dining atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food quality was just average and didn’t quite meet my expectations. The service was decent but could use some improvement, particularly during peak hours. While the prices are fair, I feel that the overall value could be enhanced considering the taste and overall experience. In summary, it’s a decent spot for a quick bite, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both food and service.

Disappointing dining experience

My visit was quite unpleasant. I ordered a මාලු ඇඹුල් තියල්, but the odor from it was off-putting. Additionally, the stench from the restrooms was very disagreeable. The customer service left much to be desired as well. This hotel used to be quite good.

Delicious and authentic dining experience

We had an amazing meal here! The food was incredibly tasty and offered great value. My family and I savored the rice and curry along with the fried rice multiple times, and each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend this place if you're in search of delicious, authentic cuisine at a fair price. We will certainly return!

Disappointing experience overall

I wasn't very happy with the food served here. Once the curries run out, they don't refill them, so you're left with whatever is still there. The prices remain the same, even if you only have one curry and some rice. If you're looking for a good meal, this isn't the right place. I wouldn't recommend it. The atmosphere is poor as well; it's filled with flies, and they don't seem to do anything about it. The service is lacking, as they don't pay attention to their customers at all. I wouldn't give them any stars.

Disappointing Experience at a Once-Good Spot

The customer service here is lacking; the staff barely engages with patrons. I used to frequent this restaurant regularly because it was great, but recently the prices have skyrocketed. The food no longer justifies the cost. I can't recommend this place anymore.

Unacceptable food hygiene issue

I was extremely disappointed to find a worm in my rice; that's simply unacceptable. Food quality and hygiene need to be prioritized. This was a very unpleasant experience, and I sincerely hope management takes swift action to enhance their quality control.
