We ordered the seafood chop suey rice, but it turned out to have no seafood at all; it was mostly just vegetables. They claimed the seafood was chopped into the dish, but the vegetables smelled bad, likely because they were frozen and old. I would advise against going there; it was a terrible experience, and the prices are way too high for such poor quality food.

We visited Diana to enjoy the sun-beds by the beach. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. We tried a ginger beer and mango juice, both of which were fantastic. We ended up staying longer than we planned because we were having such a great time! We then ordered the grilled prawn kebab along with some potato wedges. The prawns were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the ample dipping sauce made them even better. The wedges were also great, nicely seasoned with a hint of spice! Overall, we highly recommend checking out Diana.

We’ve visited Diana twice and can wholeheartedly recommend it! The atmosphere is fantastic, the drinks are delightful, the food is tasty, and the staff are very friendly! They even provided us with bug spray in the evening. Since we went during the off season, it's difficult to gauge how it operates when busy, but we were truly pleased with our experience!

The food is tasty, but it's on the pricey side. Unfortunately, the portion sizes leave a lot to be desired. On our first night, we both ordered yellow curry with rice. The serving was decent, though smaller than what you'd find elsewhere. The following evening, I had fish with French fries. While the fish portion (200 g) was acceptable, the 100 g of fries felt like a joke. A proper serving should have been at least 400 g. What really frustrated me was telling the waiter that I was still hungry, and nothing was done about it. I had even finished half of my daughter's meal! When we settled the bill, there were no discounts, no extra food, or complimentary drinks—just a friendly smile and a promise to inform the management. I left feeling unsatisfied...

I visited this place with my family tonight, and we had a wonderful time! I honestly can't recommend it enough and would give it more than 5 stars if that were possible. Firstly, the food was outstanding. Every dish was spot on, and the potato wedges were incredibly delicious. Secondly, the service was very good. The staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. We were even able to pay in dollars. They kindly offered to hold our 9-month-old son, allowing us to enjoy our meal without him trying to grab our cutlery. He was entertained for nearly 20 minutes and had a great time! Lastly, the atmosphere was lovely. You can literally sit by the beach with the waves nearby, complemented by pleasant lighting and soothing acoustic music. I will definitely be back here in the future and highly recommend you try it out too!

The view is outstanding, and the food is decent. However, the service leaves much to be desired. We placed our order 1.5 hours before arriving, yet it took an additional 45 minutes for everything to be prepared once we got there. I hope they improve in the future.

I’m writing this review unprompted because this place is just that good. The food was incredibly tasty, everything was presented beautifully, and the portion sizes were quite generous. The ambiance was charming, and the staff were very friendly and attentive the entire time. I highly recommend checking out this spot if you find yourself in Matara!
