We found this hidden gem while searching for a nice place to stay in Matale. It was incredibly easy to book, and its location is almost perfect, being close to everything. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

Following our visit to Riverston, we chose to stay here and were pleasantly surprised by how well it exceeded our expectations. The arrangements were seamless, and the staff was incredibly accommodating in ensuring that all our bookings matched our needs. The essentials were all just right. The beds were very comfortable, and the environment and rooms were well-kept. The washrooms were spacious and spotless. We enjoyed a nice veranda with a decent view, hot water availability, and a wooden closet for our belongings. There was also a table with a large mirror for getting ready. Everything from sheets to towels was impeccably clean and functioned like new. This place truly meets every basic requirement in excellent condition. Another highlight was the lack of interruptions during our stay. We could relax and enjoy our time as we wished, with staff only attending to us when requested. They were friendly and respectful, which we greatly appreciated. The staff is also helpful in arranging any necessities you might need. Thanks to everyone, we had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking accommodation near Matale; it's one of the top options available.

The staff here is the friendliest I've ever met at a resort. Each time we entered, they greeted us warmly and inquired about our stay. The guest house offers excellent customer service and boasts a lovely view of the mountains. It's situated within the city and provides parking. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the rooms were clean with hot water. We stayed in a family room that had a balcony and plenty of space, along with a TV. Keep in mind, if you choose an upstairs room, you'll need to navigate some stairs. There's also a lobby area available for small functions. While they don't serve food on-site, there's a nearby restaurant where you can find meals.

We spent a week at the hotel. My wife recently started a new job as a doctor at a nearby hospital, and the manager and staff were incredibly supportive. They even assisted us in finding a long-term place to stay. The room was spotless, with white linens, a Dialog TV, air conditioning, and hot water. The best part is the price, which is very reasonable. After searching around, we found this to be the best option available. I highly recommend it—100%. The hotel offers good value for the price. Both the room and bathroom were immaculate, featuring well-kept tiles that added a fresh feel. The bed sheets and pillows were made from clean, white material, providing comfort without any issues. There are parking facilities, and the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. The room includes a TV, air conditioning, and a fan. However, food isn't available on-site and can only be arranged if requested. A downside is the absence of nearby restaurants, so providing tea bags, cups, sugar, and a kettle in the room would be a nice enhancement, particularly for guests who enjoy having tea in bed in the morning.
