    Great stay with excellent service

    My wife and I recently enjoyed our stay at Hibiscus Beach Hotel. It was a delightful experience, with excellent service throughout our visit. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist. I want to give a special shoutout to the front office team for the lovely room decorations and anniversary cake for our first wedding anniversary. The reservations team member provided outstanding support and professionalism, making the booking process seamless and ensuring everything was perfectly arranged for our room. All in all, we had a fantastic time, and the warm hospitality truly made our trip unforgettable. We would certainly think about returning in the future. Regards, Tharaka

    Great villa experience by the beach

    We really loved the villa with a pool! The property is in a fantastic location, right on the beach, which made for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Our villa was ideal for us—spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff were incredibly warm and polite. The food was outstanding, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, which were very flavorful. Having two swimming pools with warm water and spacious lawns was a significant advantage, especially when traveling with teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

    Great beachside hotel experience

    This hotel is a spacious, two-story establishment featuring well-kept rooms, a restaurant, swimming pools, and beach access. The rooms are clean, including the bathrooms. The beach is safe for children, thanks to fencing and attentive staff. The food is impressive, offering a variety of vegetarian choices. Dinner here is accompanied by lovely music, creating a wonderful atmosphere. However, the access road along the railway side is a bit narrow for buses.

    Great family experience at Hibiscus

    Visiting Hibiscus with my family was a delightful experience, accommodating members of all ages. The food was delicious, with excellent options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.     Wonderful Group Stay Experience

    We had a fantastic experience at this hotel with our group of over 40 people. From the start, the staff greeted us warmly and showcased their professionalism. Checking in was quick and hassle-free. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and elegantly designed. The bed was very comfortable, and all necessary amenities were provided thoughtfully. Housekeeping kept everything in top shape throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Mr. Dimutha Ilangakoon, who went above and beyond to assist us. The food was tasty, offering a diverse selection, and the restaurant team was both attentive and friendly. The pool and common areas were well-kept and offered a relaxing atmosphere. In summary, this hotel surpassed our expectations on every front. We would certainly return and highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, quality, and excellence.

    Mixed experience at Hibiscus Beach Hotel

    We spent two days at Hibiscus Beach Hotel. The rooms were decent, but the bathrooms could really use some work. They felt outdated and somewhat sticky, plus there was only a shower without a hand faucet, which was quite inconvenient. The food was tasty, and some of the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. We particularly appreciated the kitchen manager, who wore glasses—though we didn’t catch his name. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel at ease during our meals. However, our experience changed on the second day. A different staff member took charge, and his demeanor was quite frustrating. He hardly acknowledged our questions and seemed uninterested in assisting us. Meanwhile, he was very friendly with other foreign tourists, laughing and engaging with them much more. The contrast in treatment was glaring and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was honestly hurtful and left a negative impression. On the bright side, the beach is conveniently close to the hotel and just a short walk away, which was a plus. Overall, our stay was average—good food and some friendly staff, but the bathroom conditions and the inconsistent service really impacted our experience.

    Beautiful Location but Lacks Maintenance

    This hotel is situated in a fantastic location with direct access to the beach and lovely gardens that foster a serene atmosphere. Additionally, having two swimming pools is a nice aspect that enhances the resort's attractiveness. However, my overall experience fell short of expectations. The hotel feels quite dated and seems to be poorly maintained. I had reserved a private villa for three nights and paid a hefty price, so I anticipated a much better quality of accommodation. To my surprise, the villa was outdated, not thoroughly cleaned, and uncomfortable. The bed sheets looked dirty upon my arrival, and the overall cleanliness was not up to par for a hotel in this price bracket. Moreover, several amenities in the room were not functioning properly. The television was broken, and the water boiler was also inoperable. Many of the furnishings appeared old and worn out. While the hotel boasts two swimming pools, they are not well cared for, and there’s minimal service available in the pool area. There were no staff members present to help set up sun loungers or provide towels, which made the atmosphere feel rather neglected. The food also did not meet expectations, lacking in both quality and variety for a resort of this caliber. In summary, while the location and gardens are lovely, the rooms, cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and service need substantial improvement. I sincerely hope the management considers renovating the facilities and upgrading the guest experience, as the property has great potential.
