Unfair Charges on SHEIN Order

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally complain about the unfair and unauthorized charges related to my recent SHEIN order that was dealt with by Aramex. When I placed the order, it was clearly stated that delivery would be free. However, upon its arrival in Sri Lanka, I was asked to pay LKR 3100 as 'duty charges.' I was also told that if I refused to pay, my parcel would be destroyed. Feeling pressured, I ended up paying LKR 1500 to get my package. In total, I have spent LKR 4667 on this order, which is significantly more than what was originally stated. I believe that Aramex has applied these charges unfairly, as SHEIN did not disclose such fees at the time of purchase. This experience is both misleading and unacceptable. I kindly ask that you look into this issue thoroughly and take appropriate action against Aramex if any wrongdoing is identified. Disappointing Customer Service Experience

The customer service here is exceptionally lacking, and the tracking system is quite unclear. It's crucial for the company to enhance their support team and provide them with proper training. The staff merely relays information that's already visible in the tracking system and seem disconnected from the operations team.

Disappointing customs charges experience

I had a really frustrating experience with Aramex concerning a recent SHEIN order. My order totaled LKR 12,000, but when the package arrived in Sri Lanka, I was hit with an extra LKR 8,500 as 'customs and duty charges.' This was never made clear at the time of purchase. It was only after the shipment reached the courier that Aramex reached out to me to demand this payment. When I asked about it, I was informed that it was a mandatory customs fee, but the amount seemed excessively high compared to the order value. Paying almost 70% of the product cost again in duties feels completely unreasonable and unfair. There was a total lack of transparency from both SHEIN and Aramex. Customers should be adequately informed about any potential customs fees before placing an order, rather than being blindsided by a hefty charge upon delivery. This was my first experience like this, and it will certainly make me reconsider ordering again. I wouldn't recommend purchasing from SHEIN unless you're ready for unexpected and steep customs fees.

Rude staff ruined the experience

The staff member named Arshad had the most condescending and rude attitude, which prompted me to write this review. We were waiting for some urgent documents, and he showed no concern to help us, offered no solutions, and failed to explain the reason for the delay. It's truly disappointing to see such attitudes in employees.
