Oh My
Top-rated

Colombo's bakeries run the full range — heritage names that have supplied the city's short-eats for generations, modern patisseries with European-trained pastry chefs, and neighbourhood bakeries doing brisk trade in fresh bread, buns, and celebration cakes. The list below ranks them on freshness, consistency, and value for both everyday baking and custom cakes (birthdays, weddings, office events). Most take same-day cake orders if placed early; intricate or tiered designs need 48–72 hours. For breakfast staples — paan, kimbula bunis, fish bun, rolls — go before 9 AM, when they're freshest and before the best sell out. For cake shops in the hill country, see /best/bakery-in-kandy, and on the south coast, see /best/bakery-in-galle.
